Underfloor Heating

Keep your home warm and comfortable while using less energy than traditional heating systems.

Installing an underfloor heating system in your home is one of the most cost-effective and energy efficient ways to keep your home warm. Underfloor heating systems come in two main types: electric and water based. Electric underfloor heaters are easier to install, but they can be more expensive than water based systems.

Water based underfloor heating systems are usually more cost effective and energy efficient, making them a great choice for those looking to reduce their energy bills while keeping their home warm. Additionally, these systems are easy to maintain and provide consistent temperatures throughout the house. With all these advantages, installing an underfloor heating system can be a great way to ensure a comfortable and energy efficient home.

With advances in technology we can now design, supply and fit underfloor heating to any type of sub floor and finished floor type. Traditional pipe laid in screed is the best installation type however new overboard solutions are available which offer quick start up times and are suitable for suspended floors.

Having worked on many property refurbishments across the Lake District and surrounding areas we have experience with installing underfloor heating in older more challenging properties. One of the key considerations before choosing underfloor heating is heat loss. If you have an older home it is extremely important to complete a heat loss survey before choosing to install underfloor heating to ensure it is suitable.
